100 years after illness wiped out half of the world's population, Luna Pallas is at the height of society as the poster woman for The Healing, a procedure that promises to rid you of your abnormal desires to be anything other than normal.

After an attack and the failure of her medicine, she begins to remember her past and horrific scenes of her youth as if she's coming out of a long sleep-like state. Nothing adds up and even worse, she loses her sense of perceived-reality as a stranger enters her life, challenging her to accept the world is not what it seems.
